Admission Requirements

We are committed to your success! At Bridgeway School of Nursing, our knowledgeable, supportive faculty and staff are dedicated to your success from the moment you choose to study with us. Our holistic approach of hands-on, student-centered education is an effective way to build your skills, and our flexible program is designed to fit your schedule for online/hybrid/in-person instruction. Some textbooks are even available for check out from our local resource center.

General Education

Bridgeway School of Nursing is now offering the following General Education courses. These are fully online (synchronous) prerequisites that are required for students to complete.

  • English Composition I
  • College Algebra
  • Psychology(Developmental)
  • Microbiology with Lab
  • Medical Terminology
  • Nutrition
  • Anatomy & Physiology
    I & II with lab
  • Chemistry

Associates of Science in Nursing

20 MONTHS*
  • Submit a completed application and pay fee of admission $150
  • Complete a placement test: “TEAS”, “HESI”**
  • Provide GED or High School Diploma
  • Be at least 18 years of age by graduation
  • General education prerequisite requirements with a minimum GPA of 2.75 on a 4.0 scale confirmed on official transcripts.

* This may change depending on student transfer status, student ability to complete necessary courses, and our course offering schedule.

** If this requirement is not met, applicant may be admitted on provisional acceptance. Decided on a case by case basis. Speak with admission personnel for details.

International Students

  • International students can enter the program if they have all prerequisites without a GED, if they pass the GED test prior to program completion.
  • Applicants whose native language is other than English must demonstrate an established level of English proficiency by taking the internet based TOEFL and have a minimum cumulative score of 90 with minimum individual scores of 26 in speaking, 22 in listening, 20 in writing, and 22 in reading. Only official scores will be accepted, and the testing must be within two years of application to the program.
  • If applicant attended or is a graduate of a foreign institution, all coursework from the foreign institution must be evaluated for U. S. institutional equivalence. The official evaluation must be sent directly from the evaluation service. For evaluations, please contact one of the following:

Transfer Credits

All transcripts must be evaluated before students can be accepted into our program.

All prerequisite courses are eligible to be accepted for transfer credit.

Minimal nursing courses are accepted for transfer credit. Inquire with an admission personnel for details.
