Dr. Charmaine Watson founded this school with a heart to give back to people and to help produce quality nurses. Having almost 30 years experience in nursing herself, she has been on every level of nursing. She began with completing her PN diploma, then her ASN, BSN, and finally MSN to go along with her Ph. D. over the last few decades. She understands what it takes to get through every stage of nursing, including a strong support team. Her consistent efforts and inspirational work ethic has motivated her family to dedicate their time to pursue the same mission Dr. Watson has: to help people achieve their educational dreams. That’s also why she is dedicated to training future nurses with grit, skill, compassion, and integrity who feel prepared to be successful in this profession.

We continually strive to:
Bridgeway School of Nursing is mission minded and focuses on helping communities both local and abroad. At home, we support organizations in Orlando that help with the homeless population. We support programs at the Methodist Children’s Home located in Deltona, FL, and have partnered with the Sanford Pregnancy Center. We encourage all our students to participate local and international mission trips. This provides an immersive cultural experience, along with an opportunity to work in the field.
Globally, we partner with Overland Missions. Since its creation in 1999, Overland Missions has worked to expand its reach for Christ around the globe. They began work in Zambia, Africa, and now have extended our reach to four continents. They have projects that provide clean water, medical aid, and agricultural sustainability, focusing on both the physical and the spiritual needs of people.
